Very unpleasant manager on duty. Noise and vibrations from the MRT train all day & night

The hotel lobby and breakfast areas are nicely designed, clean and pleasant. On the other hand the room I got(so called Superior)is one per floor and was on the railroad track side. When I checked in I asked for a quiet room if available. I was told that the one they got for me was on the quiet side, nothing could be further from the truth. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful, this opposite held true of the manager. He was arrogant, exacerbated by his job and ill willed. Typical individual in the service industrie who forgets where his salary comes from. He tried to rip me off by insisting I should get a " crab car"(understand an excessively priced ride with kickback) to the airport. After for 12 years of coming to TH 3-4 times per annum I know the rates. He was perfectly content to let me go out under the sun(with 3 pieces of luggage) to the main road to flag a cab down at the risk I would miss my flight. I shall never return to this hotel.
