A very good staff; a very cold and small swimming pool

The staff is terrific. They made numerous calls for me and wrote out places and addresses in Thai for the tuk-tuk and red car drivers who speak vertually no English(there a re few taxis in Chaingmai). They arranged for tuk tuks by the hour or day at reasonable rates-usually. The room was fine but a little small for two people with wonderful local , authentic decorations throughout the hotel. The only problem is the swimming pool(if you swim daily as I do). It is very small and freezing cold. They must fix thw latter with a gas heater. They could easily lengthen it as there is plenty of room to do that. The sun never warms it-at least in November.
