Efficient and comfortable, and in good location

La Residence is a small hotel close to the Silom district, and hence the Skytrain, in central Bangkok. Single rooms, like that which I had, are quite small but contain everything that one needs, as well as having a relatively large and comfortable shower/lavatory suite attached. The service offered is excellent, including free wifi. There is very little choice in the breakfast menu - just between fried and scrambled eggs - but everything is prepared fresh, there is plenty to eat/drink (fruit juice, fresh fruit coffee, toast and butter, eggs and sausages, etc), and the service is friendly and quick.
