Coolest hotel in SUkhumvit Soi 11

It was just over 1 month since my last trip to BKK and this time I managed to get to stay in Aloft Bangkok as I'd heard of the cool design which inline with W hotel. Located along Sukhumvit soi 11, which is just next to BTS Nana station, it is one of the street where you get 2 rows of bars and clubs along the way, leading to the end of soi 11, which Aloft is located. In the night time, Aloft hotel glows with pink/blue/purple lights, standing out from the rest of the business hotels along soi 11. Love the coolness even before I get to check into the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly, especially the staff at the frontdesk. Check in was quick and we got a room on level 18 that was facing the city of Bangkok, around Sukhumvit area. A slight stench of sour-ish carpet smell that kinda put me off everytime I reached 18th floor. Upon entering the room, the good mix of colors on the wall and couch and brought out the younger feel of Aloft and it was considered an acceptable size, for its standard room category. Gotta love the bathroom area, especially the shower head, and that colorful stripe wall in the shower area, doesn't seems to feel like a hotel already. Good to see a coffee machine in the room, and it was nice to provide 2 free coffee (DIY with the machine) and love the take over cups from Aloft! (damn I forgotten to save one for myself! haha). Not to mention that the bed was very comfortable, great help for a good rest after a long day of walking in the city area. Gotta check out their WXYZ Bar on level 2, they serves nice and creative drinks, and not to forget their design, totally unconventional hotel bar look. And not forgetting the well spread breakfast in Crave on level 8. Cool industrial design open kitchen design with great view of Sukhumvit area, if you choose to take the outdoor seats. They serves both international and local spreads, though I would like to see more of local items!
