Private bungalows offer a more traditional feel

I have stayed here before, and plan to come back. After staying on many places on the island, it is by far the best one. Great location. Only a 10 minute walk to the town and 5 to long beach. I traveled with a group and booked four bungalows (of varying styles/prices). Two of the four bungalows (including a very expensive one) had a returning rodent each night. Some type of large jungle rat. It ate through luggage bags, containers, etc. consuming everything from large amounts of prescription drugs, electrolyte powder, leather wallets, and more! The rodents would wake everyone up at night with their chewing sounds. The only way to get rid of them was to shine a flashlight in their eyes. I have stayed at several places in Thailand over the years (I live here), and have never seen such a thing! BEWARE!! Aside from that, the place is awesome. Food is mediocre (best to go in to town for a good meal). Offer free longtail boat rides to the pier at specific times throughout the day.
