Pay for what you get

We paid 1000baht / night for a sea view with air con which is great. It's walking distance from the major party scene and once you step outside you can hear the music. In any of the none sea view rooms I think the music would be an annoyance, however the one we chose the music was just about blocked out.
I had read online that the lady in reception was unfriendly and unhelpful. She was okay... Didn't smile at us and sort of grunted at us. We asked for our room to be cleaned / new towels a few times. In 7 days our room was cleaned only once!! A couple of creepy crawlies got in but we are in Thailand... I wouldn't expect anything else.
Overall for the price I think it was good value. The lady maybe just needs to cheer up and cleaners need to clean rooms
