Great but let down by the detail

Lovely buildings, and setting, but somewhat away from it all and you can't get anywhere without you own transport or taxi's. That's not a major obstacle but it's tucked away in a suburban area and not near the main activities. Rooms are pleasant, cool and wonderfully well serviced with fresh towels and daily cleaning - but they are not well thought out, bathrooms whilst modern have no surfaces and there are no towel hooks or decent lighting - it's like the architect was sent home after designing the buildings and someone else finished the fitting out. Restaurant is great for breakfast and good for dinner, fair prices for a hotel and pleasant setting by the pool. Very good gym and excellent room and poolside WiFi. Staff friendly if lacking big hotel expertise and skill set, but very willing to please.
