Amazingly romantic hotel.
we had a bad first experience at this hotel. when checking in they wanted to charge us over for the new years eve gala. i outright refused and told them that the reason why we chose that hotel was due to not having to pay that crazy new years eve gala price that all the other hotels were charging. we did not plan to even attend. the problem was rectified and we received a phonecall from the hotel manager to personally apologise for the mishap.
the setting is beautiful there and the pool is amazing. it is right on a nice beach that was not too busy. they have a dvd collection that anyone could rent (free) and the room we stayed in was exquisite! we were on the third floor and the view from the balcony was just spectacular. there was a huge comfortable bath and we felt very comfortable there.
the hotel is situated next to the fishermans village which has great restaurants and places to go out drinking. there is a great reggae bar there which i highly recommend though can not remember the name.
all in all it was an amazing stay. it was by far the most expensive hotel we stayed at in thailand but looking at the settings and service it was well worth it!
