Not a 5* by most standards

This hotel whilst certainly amongst the luxury hotels in Koh Lanta is not a true 5*. Location - there are some restaurants, facilities with walking distance ( upto 15 mins) but not ideal to be walking that distance in the heat. Like most places that aren’t in the major beach locations you do need a taxi/car/motorbike to get around the island if you want to leave the resort. Breakfast - wide buffet selection but very average service. Staff are not attentive, eggs/ crepes/ waffles etc are not made fresh to order so you have eat what has been made and sitting getting cold. Pool/beach: not enough loungers available in the shade but nice set up. The beach is private to the hotel, not the softest sand but similar to other Koh Lanta beaches. Staff - whilst everyone tried very hard to be polite and helpful we found the staff do not anticipate your needs in the way 5* establishments should. Room: housekeeping was sloppy sometimes and some rooms are quite far/high up.
