lovely rooms and staff, but needs fine tuning

The Reef Resort has only recently opened and is definitely one of the most luxurious places to stay on a budget. The rooms were very comfortable and had aircon an king size beds. However, there was a really bad smell in the bathroom coming up from the sinks during our stay which meant we had to keep the door shut. Also, the hot water was intermittent. The staff were very friendly and the manager did her best to make our stay enjoyable and let us know all the best places to eat. However, the breakfast in the morning was often cold, including the coffee and guests were on-top of each other trying to get to items as the layout of the 'buffet' was poorly thought through. However, i believe that a lot of these concerns will be addressed shortly and a newly opened hotel is bound to have a few teething problems, so i would still recommend this place for people to stay in the future.
