Over the Top!

My husband and I spent just one night at the Day Waterfront Hotel before our planned travel through Laos on Nagi of Mekong. We arrived early, were invited to leave our bags, and were directed to a lovely local restaurant to enjoy lunch until our room was ready. Upon our return from lunch, we found that the owner had contacted Nagi, confirmed our booking and pick-up, and assured us the all was well. Additionally, we were provided the border paperwork for Laos. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious. Breakfast was on the terrace and just before we left, the owner's wife prepared a 'care package' of sticky rice wrapped in leaves and a few bananas to tide us over until lunch on the boat! All in all, a lovely stay. The owners are brilliant.

Good location and very helpful staff, terrible mattress
