Great place and great view!

I can see why this place gets the best reviews. We arrived in the evening after taking the bus (5 hours) from Chiang Mai to Chiang Khong. We were warmly greeted and showed our amazing room overlooking Mekong River. The air conditioner worked amazing! When we told them we were taking the slow boat they offered to take us at 7:30 in the morning to immigration and gave us all our forms to fill out. The next morning we were treated to coffee/tea and banana wrapped in leaves and were given a bunch of bananas for our journey. We only stayed one night, but I will definitely be back to stay longer. The room is peaceful and relaxing and they have a restaurant overlooking the river too. If your staying in Chiang Khong to take the slow boat. Consider staying more than 1 night. The town is small and cute. A great place to stop to relax for a couple days.
