Totally unprofessional, or just another scam

So we have booked a room in advance. When we arrived at hostel, it was noon and unbelievably hot. We were in the road for 16 hours and wanted to do the check in and take shower, but at the reception they said, that our room in taken, and we can stay in another (it was worse and cheaper). No apologies or compensation was suggested. Just to stay in the worse room for the same money. We've read about similar scams on few forums about Tailand, so we didn't want to stay there. After some pressure they returned money but we had to spend another hour looking for the hotel in Phuket town in extreme heat.
If you don't want to be cheated, don't book at this place.

Change of room without asking, but a refund

Good value in a great location

很舒服的民宿
就在普吉镇老街旁边，距离做双条车去芭东海滩的地方很近，500米远有一个小车站，可以买到去合艾，甲米，攀牙等南部城市的车票和坐车，男老板热情好客，连住了两晚很喜欢，就是窗户隔音不太好，夜里经过的摩托声音太大。 干净，有空调，阳台房还有个小小的阳台，非常可爱

バスターミナル1から徒歩で5分位。家族経営のゲストハウスです。オーナーの愛想がよく、いつも笑顔で対応してくれます。ただ、入り口から部屋に行くまでにオーナー家族の居間兼寝室を通る必要があり、夜間はちょっと気が引けます。最寄りのコンビニまで徒歩5分位です。アメニティなどはタオルのみでしたが、清潔な部屋でした。
