was not off to a good start but ended well

we booked the first 4 nights directly with the hotel and the last two through agoda. when we arrived the staff told us they they did not have our booking for the first 4 nights. we were then told we would have to be downgraded if we wanted to stay. we were not happy with this as we had booked 4 months in advance. the manager came and offered us an upgrade for the last two night and a discounted downgrade for the first four. we were not overly happy with this but had no choice but to accept otherwise we would have nowhere to stay. after the first 2 nights we were upgraded to the best available room and given a free dinner for two. this was wonderful and they staff were very helpful.
