Beautiful resort with super friendly staff
The Novotel is a beautiful resort situated just at the beginning of Karon beach. The location itself could be slightly better as you do need to walk thru a mosquito festered area to get to the main beach and to where all the shops are.
The resort itself is immaculately kept. Beautiful gardens, lovely pool and staff who are all friendly and seem like they went to be there, unlike some other resorts I’ve been too.
The resort offers a shuttle service that goes back and forth to Patong a few times a day which is great, though it returns literally a few minutes after it’s dropped off which means you’ll have about 3 hours before the next bus comes. An hourly service would be more beneficial.
The only negative: don’t stay in any of the rooms closest to the street. The sound from the traffic is like a subwoofer that reverberated in the room. The hotel was kind enough to move me and once again I can’t thank them enough for the great service. I highly recommended this hotel
