there is no better in Chiang Mai

We have stayed in many hotels in Chiang Mai over the past ten years, and Baan Huenphen has all the right ingregients for a comfortable Thai lodging experience. The botique hotel is small, just 14 rooms, but with convenient and friendly staff support, great breakfasts (included), free airport shuttle, small but useable pool, and great ambiance. What I like particularly, that although relatively new, the hotel captures a uniquely Thai style with its art and antiques and creative blending of local (Lanna) architecture and culture. The hotel and its rooms invite hanging out and socializing. It is literally ground zero in old town (walk score 98) with many temples, restaurants, and massage shops in close proximity (the blind massage shop is up the street). Do yourslef a favor, avoid the larger cookie cutter hotels and enjoy a real Thai experience. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff, close to shopping, and temples.

Travelers who need conveniences to access temples, shopping and eating in Chiangmai city, this is one of the most convenience place to lodge.
