Holiday in Koh Samui
We booked the 3-bedroom villas with private pool. The villas was great and offer excellent view of Chaweng Beach. Rooms were okay but a little old and not so well maintained, so if your expectation is high, then this is not for you. Comfortable beds. The shared bath for room-2 and room-3 is a bit of setback. Between the two bedrooms, there is a wooden framed which anyone can look into your room from outside, so no privacy on that. There is also no curtain provided to cover up the glass. Bedroom door has to remained close all the time. Another minus point is the room door access key. Not the modern facility, so they still rely on the conventional room key to open and lock the doors. Will be great if they install key card access and one card to access all rooms to reduce the trouble to carry 4 keys. Our villa is the furthest away from the reception and at the bottom of the hill slope, so getting to the reception area for breakfast is quite an effort. Breakfast selections is below average and taste is not great to be very honest. Most of the staff especially those at the reception desk were very helpful and friendly. Driver are also very careful on the road as we use their service to get to Chaweng centre and other locations all the time. In the night, there are lots of insect sounds surrounding the villa and in the last night of our stay, we spotted a giant gecko of about 12 inches in length (head to tail) at the dining area outside the living room. It was making a lot of weird noise and that was what attracted our attention.
