Good to meet people without pressure

Being a 30 yrs old solo traveler, I hesitated to book this hostel since I was not into the idea of a hardcore party hostel, but I still wanted to meet people. This worked out well in this hostel. Both the private rooms and the dorms are clean, bright and nice. Everything is a little worn down (standard for hostels I guess) but not old and in a good condition.
You can meet in the evenings at the free BBQ (never had it but saw that they even got vegetarian options available. Just a snack but good to have a beer and chat with people) or even better at their day trips which have okay group sizes (ask if you are not sure, staff speaks English). They can arrange everything for you like transfers and trips for okay prices (didn't hear about other hostels/agencies being cheaper).

Good staff and bright spacious rooms

Inconsistent servuce

Sandy floors in the room

The staff was quite rude
The plug close to my bedroom wasn't working and the staff didn't help me at all, she just told me that she was annoyed by my request.
