Does not happen always, but in my case...

You already know Am Samui Resort is a fairly nice place if you are looking for quiet beach. Well, I was also looking for it and the place was indeed nice. Quiet and peaceful location, beautiful sunset, fairly clean and relaxing room. (But you do have mosquito. When you look closer, the windows are quite gappy.)
One thing I have to note, though, is electricity shutdown I encountered. I spent two nights here and on the second day, the electricity of my room was shut down from 8AM till 5PM, due to some construction. I came to know it only after I asked about it to the hotel staff, and she asked me "Please come back after 5PM". There did not give any apology nor refunds for this. I guess such a case does not happen frequently, and I guess you need to be calm and relaxed in such a nice resort, even if the A/C of your room doesn't work in the daytime. That said, personally, _I_ would never visit this place again.

Paradise... at a cost
The Am Samui is on the quietest side of the island and is (mostly) peaceful. There is not a lot close by save a few restaurants, but that was what we were looking for. You can hire scooters for 200 a ... อ่านต่อ

Secluded Hotel close to the beach but not the best
