Our WORST EXPERIENCE in Thailand

This places was by far our WORST EXPERIENCE in Thailand. To start with, when we arrived, the woman doing the check in demanded a deposit of 1000THB in order to release the room's key - We thought it was absurd, which she replied "that's the way it is" - she was rude, but we wouldn't spoil our trip because of her. The same person was in charge of booking our transportation back to the pier early in the morning after our checkout 7:00am - as usual, she charged us upfront - On the day of our departure there was NO ONE there at 7:00am to do our checkout, no one to give us our 1000THB "deposit" back, and off course no one to take us to the pier (which we had paid in advance). OTHER THINGS - apart from the service and staff being a disgrace, the place itself is falling apart. The swimming pool has tiles coming out everywhere. The sunbath chairs are dirty and no one cares, the fountain in the pool was off, and we couldn't use the room service because you couldn't trust the staff.
