My stay at Leelawadee was great. The hotel manager, Caroline, was extremely helpful. The hotel is away from crowds and is very peaceful, however, if you are looking for activities, Caroline was very helpful in recommending activities/restaurants and organising transport for us (and helped us not get ripped off by activity/transport costs). One person in my group had food poisoning when we arrived (from previous day, NOT from the hotel), and Caroline shared her dinner with him (spaghetti with pasta sauce) since he couldn't stomach the thought of more Thai food at that point. She also let us check in early and was very polite even though we arrived before our check in time. We went to the Tiger Cave Temple, Hot Spring Pools, and the Huay Toh Waterfall, all of which were very nice. We hired our own private Tuktuk driver for the day (roughly 2500 Baht) and this made the day much more pleasant as we could stay as long as wanted and go wherever we pleased without waiting for or putting up with tour crowds. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, and are free-standing, so you have your own private villa with ensuite/TV/couch & kitchen. I would highly recommend this hotel for families, couples, or groups that are looking for a relaxing getaway that is still within a 10 minute drive of beach/shopping areas (Ao Nang beach).
