Pleasantly surprised
Hotel seems to be primarily booked by guests from Germany and most guests were in their 50's+ (At least when we were there). Enjoyed ourselves with the room upgrade as the balcony opened out towards a pool. Happy hour cocktails at the beach bar are cheap but average. Breakfast is relatively extensive with Asian and Western options. Mini market in hotel selling beers water etc. at about 50% more than the shops close by. Gold Elephant Thai restaurant across the road serves pretty big portions of Thai dishes at relatively fair prices. A number of activities are available such as Ccoking classes, Cocktail making etc but was booked up for the week on the first day we arrived. Perhaps more slots should be made available. Friends were charged for an umbrella from the hotel after it went missing from their balcony one evening. 4 swimming pool. All good but come early as the lounge chairs get taken quite fast by the guests. Beach is narrow, orangy sand and water not clear. Preferred the pool. Phuket beaches are better.
