spa not running to far away

we were very disappointed with our stay. We had originally hoped to hire a car to get to Khoa Lak but were unable to, so we ended up being very restricted to with what we could do. It was pouring rain both days we were there, so we were hoping to use the spa. However the spa is closed and only a Thai massage is available with 2 days notice (no use if you just stay two days!)As mentioned in other reviews the shuttle only goes once per day. As it was raining the location was really inconvenient and there really wasn't much to do. We also didn't really like the food at the restaurant but found a great place in town called mojos. We managed to get the taxis in town to drop us back for 350 baht but it still adds up when you are paying taxis every day of the holiday. we were upgraded but I still don't think it was good value for money, especially since the spa was closed and no alternative was offered or in close proximity. the staff were friendly though. Internet only available at reception and is super slow. I'm sure there is better value closer to town.
