Cool spot near the full moon party
We really enjoyed our stay here. Its close enough to walk to haad rin (where the full moon parties are) and far enough that it's quiet. Its got the friendly vibe of a hostel but is a good step up from a dorm room. Each room has a double and single bed, so you can split the room between 3 ppl if you really want to save money. We opted for the ac room and were very glad we did. It was very comfortable. There are two fans on the ceiling that are independently controllable as well as an ac unit, so you won't be uncomfortable. The bathroom was pretty standard except that there is actually hot water (not the ubiquitous suicide (electrical unit) shower). So we were pleased. There is a restaurant with a huuuuge variety of options, though this makes everything sort of mediocre. The portions were a little small and they charge separately for rice so the cheaper items are a little deceptive. The pool is great and most importantly, the drinks are STRONG. A mojito bucket is 250 baht and there is about a third of a bottle of liquor in it! We stayed in 3 different bungalows on koh phangan and this was BY FAR the best. Highly recommended. Rent a motorbike when you get off the ferry (150 baht per day) so you don't have to take a taxi there and back (100 each way).
