WARNING BEFORE BOOKING

before booking, be aware of the following :

- comparing to the hotel website and the reality, there is a real difference. The infrastructure of the hotel is actually about 2* to 3* with lot of concrete material & building, dirty "lake" and no real comfortable structure of pool (shade, plants, etc). We have the impression that being cheated.

- Service : quality of service especially from the restaurant and cleaning service is put into question since the service is at the minimum, quite surprising with the standard in Thailand where people try to do their best to provide good service and attention. Something simple can become an issue such as having additional towers for the pool or the beach (actually cleaning lady did not want to provide anything additional, that is it !)

- Location : though we quite use to be independent in moving around (motobike rental), this location can become "weird" when coming back in evening time (dark streets, desert of living activities, stinky "wilde" trash on the street, etc). Such environment makes you feel uncomfortable and unsecure especially if there is regular power cut in the region and you have kids. Attention : there is nothing around the hotel !

In one word the hotel seemed very good and "original" at first (esp. on web) but in practice the reality is quite different : no charms, not cosy, no shade (hot weather country), no appropriate services (restaurant, cleaning, etc) combining with a far distance which is finally not worthy to make the effort !

so though already paid for 11 nights, we decided to change hotel after 3 nights. Of course, the hotel threatened that there was no reimbursement possible (which Agoda accepted to do it for the remaining stay). Important to point out that we come to Thailand 6 times in 10 years. So I can say - even remaining modest - that we know well the country, the people & services and the infrastructure for tourism (quite good in general).
