Poor design and layout. No privacy in the pools. The main pool is too close to traffic noise / smoke
Dangerous step (due to poor design) in the middle of most of all the rooms. I've tripped over 4 times (no exaggeration) and my 5 yr old daughter 2 times.
Unnecessary but compulsory in getting in and out of hotel by their own shuttle bus. Bus supposed to come around every 5 mins but turned out to be every 15-20 mins. There is always a long queue and you may have to get on the next round. The distance is actually only 200 to 300 m and most people don't mind walking. Instead, they use a diesel bus to huff and puff exhaust around the clock within the hotel grounds. My kids and I could smell diesel in the two main pools where we hang out all day.
Most pools get surrounded by 3 to 8 storey tall hotel buildings. Plenty of mosquitos around the hotel. They spray so much DEET (mosquito repellant) you can chew it in the air in the main breakfast restaurant. I could only hope they've covered the food before they do the spray. God knows how much DEET we've ingested and inhaled during our stay.
