6 days with cold or no water in the shower
When we arrived to the hotel, nobody welcomed us. We brought our own luggage to the reception where the receptionist seemed a bit annoyed with our arrival. To get to the beach you need to cross a road. If you have kids, they will not be able to cross by themselves. The breakfast is the same EVERY single day, and it is of very poor quality. The staff doesn't speak proper English, basically none. Only the restaurant manager and his assistant have proper understanding. This to order a simple coffee becomes a 10 minute explanation with gestures. We booked 2 rooms. In one room there was no water or just cold water in the shower. We managed to take a proper shower with hot water once in 7 days. In the other room, there was short circuit that resulted in smoke in the bathroom. In that room we had 2 kids of 10-12 years old. Since it couldn't be repaired for 3 days, for the last night we had to change the room. And finally, if the hotel calls a taxi for you, be aware that they are sharing the fare with the driver so they are charging you more than what you can get on the street. The only nice thing I can say about the service is that one evening there were no taxis and the receptionist offered to accompany us herself with her car, but she offered us a rate 150 baht more that what we paid the day before catching a taxi on the street. Finally, the location is quite remote. You should either rent a car or a scooter or you will have to take a taxi every day.
