VERY DISAPPOINTED. EXPENSIVE. UNFRIENDLY.

We booked this property because of good ratings and good pictures. I regret my decision.

This was the type of place that disappointed us in many different ways during our 4 nights. Other than 1 woman (MAYA) who only worked occasionally, we could rarely communicate effectively with any working at the resort. We were traveling with a 1 year and this was quite frustrating and disappointing. Here's a list of what you might expect staying at the resort:

- we traveled for 3 weeks in Thailand (5 different properties) and Khuum Lanta was the only property that charged us a nightly fee for a baby cot/crib
- when I needed change to make a payment they would not provide change at the reception and her only suggestion was for me to walk 10 minutes along the busy road with my 1 year daughter to find a 7/11 to get change
- breakfast was very disappointing compared to almost any other property and especially Koh Lanta (there is rarely hot food, water and juice are all room temperature - which is warm during the summer - there are constantly flies swarming around your food - 1 day they served eggs and pad thai for breakfast which was the highlight of breakfast -- we ended up walking to Pinky's and spending even more money -- also there is a gas tank in front of the eating area so if you like the smell of gasoline with breakfast you will love this place
- they charge an additional service fee to make reservations for you (to book trips, book bus transfers) -- they will charge you an additional fee for something as simple as making a telephone call for a reservation -- as a result I walked across the street to book the same transfer for significantly less money - crazy I would have to do this

The most disappointing experience occurred during our first night when the property next door had a large fire on their property. I do understand that it was not their property, however, as a result, our bungalow was literally filling with smoke throughout the night. Of course we ha
